Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Part-Time Lead Trash Collector to join our team at Valet Living. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our residents while ensuring the efficient collection of waste and recyclables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver on our commitment to providing excellent service to our residents, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist the Area Leader in training and developing Service Valets, focusing on safety, quality control, and productivity.
  • Conduct regular spot-checks to ensure Service Valets are adhering to safety protocols and providing high-quality service.
  • Collect missed trash and recyclables on the same night, and track problem properties to ensure timely resolution.
  • Communicate effectively with the Area Leader regarding delays, safety concerns, accidents, and other maintenance issues.
  • Provide waste and recycling collection coverage for understaffed properties within an assigned district.
  • Document and report all property and resident non-compliance, ensuring accurate records and timely follow-up.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of the nightly collection process during the Area Leader's days off.
  • Assist with evening recruiting efforts, including referral generation and flyer distribution.
  • Provide candidates with a realistic job preview from the Service Valet perspective, ensuring they understand the role and responsibilities.
  • Assist with presentations during team meetings, promoting a positive and engaging work environment.
  • Collaborate with the Area Leader to coordinate work schedules, evaluate job performance, and motivate Service Valets.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Service Valets in the areas of safety and training, ensuring a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
  • A valid driver's license, ensuring you can operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently.
  • The ability to adapt to work both indoors and outdoors, regardless of changing weather conditions.
  • The capacity to lift and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to walk the distance of a property and be exposed to disagreeable odors.
  • Capability to climb up and down staircases/steps multiple times throughout the evening.
  • Ownership of a smartphone with a data plan, allowing you to utilize our mobile app effectively.
  • Flexibility to work a split schedule and/or be on call during irregular hours, depending on business needs.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent, with an AA degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience in customer service and prior people management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and communication.
