Job Title: Labor Standards and Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Labor Standards and Construction Manager to join our team at the City of Jacksonville, FL. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and local labor standards, as well as overseeing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with federal and local labor standards, including Davis Bacon and Section 3 laws.
  • Oversee construction projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Develop and implement procedures for monitoring federally funded construction projects.
  • Request wage decisions from the Department of Labor and issue to users as applicable.
  • Review construction project bid documents and contracts for labor standards compliance.
  • Conduct on-site interviews of employees to gather information for compliance monitoring.
  • Review construction project payroll reports for compliance with labor standards federal wage and overtime requirements.
Requirements:
  • 6 years of education and/or experience in contract administration, construction project and/or labor standards compliance and monitoring, or providing social services assistance or developing human services programs or projects.
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory capacity with 2 years of related contract compliance work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
