Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality eye care services at both hospital and community clinic settings.
  • Conduct outpatient assessments for patients of various age groups experiencing eye-related issues.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of examinations in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), including comprehensive evaluations of the eyes, dilation procedures when necessary, and the execution of additional office tasks as appropriate.
  • Practice optometry within the full extent of licensure.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for the co-management of ocular diseases and related systemic conditions.
  • Refer patients to reputable specialists as required and ensure follow-up on their outcomes.
  • Provide education to patients regarding optimal eye care practices, including hygiene and safety measures.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and organizational capabilities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, although after-hours work is infrequent.
  • Adapt to various situations that may influence the delivery of care.
  • Thrive in dynamic conditions, particularly in rural healthcare settings.

Important Health Compliance:

All candidates must provide proof of completed COVID vaccinations, including a booster, as well as a flu vaccination. Exemptions will not be accepted. Documentation must clearly indicate the vaccine type, lot number, expiration date, administration date, and site, along with the full name of the employee.
