Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EHR Specialist to join our team at Norton Sound Health Corporation. As an EHR Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our Community Health Aides in the use of electronic health records, ensuring accurate and complete patient documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Community Health Aides in the use of electronic health records, responding to questions and resolving issues
  • Review patient records to identify deficiencies and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
  • Work closely with the coder and billers to resolve issues and ensure accurate coding and billing
  • Promote teamwork and participate as an active member of the team
  • Adhere to established procedures and display professional demeanor to effectively interact with staff, providers, and team members
Requirements
  • Above average knowledge of computer use and operation
  • Knowledge and competence with a variety of software programs, including electronic health records
  • Knowledge of healthcare and clinical systems preferred
  • Above average customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Above average computer skills, including use of word processing, spreadsheets, and office software
