Job Overview

At Nitto Americas, we are seeking a highly skilled Process Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality systems that ensure our products and services meet customer, company, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update of Flow Charts for the area
  • Review and update of PFMEA for the area
  • Review and update of Control Plans
  • Establishment of Inspection Points throughout the process, including sample size, frequency, and method
  • Carry out capability studies (CpK, PpK) required in the area for mass production products
  • Support to production in accepting or rejecting parts that do not meet customer requirements
  • GO-NO GO gauges, Check-Templates available, identified, and listed in the measurement equipment control format
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the defect list and defect catalog
  • Execution of the process audit
  • Execution of the product audit
  • Execution of the LPA audit program
  • Support in customer complaints
  • Ensure all material is properly identified (as required by the procedure)
  • Understand specific customer requirements to ensure they are met
  • Review work order instructions
  • Resolve internal quality issues based on Pareto analysis of failures detected in the process and 100% certification station, to reduce internal PPMs
  • Support with inspection of complaint materials in the 100% Inspection area
  • Support in addressing audit findings related to the process
  • Keep process quality documents up to date
  • Supervise compliance with procedures by process auditors
  • Follow up on the area risk matrix
  • Monitor and update process turtles in the area
  • Track Process KPI
  • Implement 5S in the area
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and corporate/customer requirements
  • Mapping the process to identify the CTQ (Critical To Quality) and CTP (Critical To Process)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar
  • 3 years' experience in Manufacturing Sector. Automotive Quality Sector a plus.
  • Minimum 2 year of work experience in process quality assurance
  • AIAG Core Tools knowledge (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, CONTROL PLAN, MSA, SPC)
  • Technical interpretation of IATF 16949 standard
  • IATF Internal Auditor Experience
  • Knowledge of engineering drawing interpretation (GD&T)
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational/prioritization skills
  • Good analytical/problem solving skills
  • Process Mapping Tools
  • Solving Problems Tools (8D, Failures Tree, etc.)
  • Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • ERP System JDE a plus.
  • Statistical software a plus (Minitab, Power BI, etc.)
