Nuclear Medicine Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Supervisor to join our team at the University of California. This is a leadership position that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage and supervise a team of technologists and support staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage a team of nuclear medicine technologists and support staff
  • Organize and coordinate daily work schedules and shift coverage
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Monitor and ensure equitable distribution of workload and work assignments
  • Train and orient new staff members
  • Coach and instruct technologists on correct performance of department procedures
  • Encourage teamwork and cooperation among staff members
  • Facilitate a positive work environment
Requirements:
  • Current California CNMT certification
  • ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification
  • BLS (CPR) certification
  • Applied background in nuclear medicine and associated modalities
  • Knowledge of medical center, HR, and UC policies and processes
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory agency standards
  • Proven ability to supervise and coordinate activities of subordinate staff
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in training and guiding employees
  • Ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines in a complex environment
