ROLE OVERVIEW

The Accountant II role is pivotal in evaluating financial performance to assist senior management in making informed tactical and strategic decisions through the provision of regular reports.

This position will scrutinize project margins to deliver proactive insights to leadership.

Additionally, this role will entail the reconciliation of the general ledger and invoices, support in project implementations, invoicing, and ongoing process enhancements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the creation of the monthly financial package, encompassing key metrics, financial outcomes, and variance analysis.
  • Support monthly invoicing processes.
  • Prepare, update, and analyze regularly scheduled reports, occurring weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Examine financial data to generate comprehensive financial reports.
  • Assist engagement managers with weekly forecasting and closing procedures.
  • Ensure financial records comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing performance.
  • Perform various accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as required.
  • Assist with the month-end closing process as necessary.
  • Retrieve and prepare data from diverse sources for upload, utilizing Excel functions (particularly Vlookup), filters, formatting, etc., to manipulate data.
  • Reconcile accounts.
  • Support global and local annual audit compliance.
  • Manage expense reporting through Concur.
  • Engage in special projects, ad-hoc requests, and analyses as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • College diploma or university degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of GAAP.
  • Familiarity with Intacct and PSA systems.
  • Experience with contracts, invoicing, and billing processes.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Effective communication skills for internal and external interactions.
  • Strong planning and prioritization capabilities.
  • Ability to remain adaptable and responsive to changing priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills for data analysis (particularly with high-volume transactions).
  • Capacity to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Legally authorized to work for any company in the United States without sponsorship.
