POSITION SUMMARY

As a Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will provide comprehensive oversight and leadership across assigned shifts in the Bearings Maintenance sector. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful execution, monitoring, and enhancement of departmental objectives related to safety, quality, throughput, and equipment uptime, while integrating lean manufacturing principles through ongoing improvement initiatives. You will guide the efforts of team leads, mechanical and electrical technicians, and liaise with support staff to achieve departmental targets, maintaining effective communication with upper management. Your role will also involve supporting the growth and development of all team members within the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To excel in this position, the following essential functions must be performed effectively:
  • Coordinate maintenance operations with various departments to reduce production interruptions, safeguard products, enhance processes, and ensure employee safety.
  • Evaluate the performance of plant machinery and systems to minimize unexpected downtimes, lower maintenance expenses, recommend preventive maintenance, and identify areas for enhancement.
  • Supervise assigned personnel in alignment with established protocols.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Learning and Development Program (MOC) within the department.
  • Facilitate and promote 6S initiatives and process optimization.
  • Develop and refine departmental metrics with a focus on safety, quality, and operational effectiveness.
  • Deliver formal training and skill development for assigned personnel.
  • Maintain a robust level of technical expertise and awareness in relation to assigned duties and responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will possess computer proficiency, proven maintenance experience in an industrial setting, and preferably a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience.
