Position Overview

ElectionSource is seeking a meticulous individual with a technical background for the role of Equipment Support & Testing Technician. This role is crucial for delivering service, assistance, and upkeep of our election apparatus. Additionally, the position involves providing testing services and support to our clientele.


Employment Details

This is a full-time salaried position, offering a comprehensive benefits package that includes vacation and holiday leave, health and dental insurance, a matching 401K plan, and the use of a company mobile phone and vehicle.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform service and maintenance on voting equipment both in-house and at various locations.
  • Conduct testing of voting equipment at client sites.
  • Assist the Sales and Coding Department as necessary.
  • Manage support inquiries from clients.
  • Proactively address customer product and service requests, coordinating effective solutions to meet their needs.
  • Process product and service orders based on customer specifications, warranties, and contracts.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide timely and accurate feedback aimed at enhancing user functionality.
  • Work alongside ElectionSource management to implement updates and certifications from the State of Michigan Bureau of Elections.
  • Attend Clerks Association Meetings as required.
  • Fulfill other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's or Associate Degree is preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or technical support.
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated project management experience with complex technical product implementations.
  • Familiarity with the elections industry is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong IT skills encompassing both software and hardware.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Capability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Aptitude for analyzing issues and identifying potential solutions and preventive measures.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ability to work extended hours during election periods.
  • Possession of a good driving record.
