The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Counselor to join our Integrated Health Program. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with medical providers to provide comprehensive care to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide short-term individual and group counseling, as well as crisis interventions, to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Conduct initial assessments of students' presenting concerns and provide treatment recommendations.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of all service contacts.
- Develop and implement programmatic interventions to address the psycho-social mental health needs of students.
- Provide clinical consultation to others on an as-needed basis and seek consultation when appropriate.
- Licensed to practice independently as a Professional Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, or Psychologist in Texas.
- Master's Degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Social Work, or other degree that meets eligibility requirements for licensure in Texas.
- Two years of post-master's clinical experience in a college or university counseling center or other relevant clinical setting.
- Experience working in a high-demand setting.
- Experience working effectively and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience providing mental health consultation to other professionals.
- A competitive salary range of $60,420 - $72,000, depending on qualifications.
- Additional compensation and perks, including professional development reimbursement and on-site CEUs.
