Crisis Intervention and Mental Health Services

As a Mental Health Counselor on our team, you will provide crisis intervention, mental health assessment, case management, and case monitoring services to individuals in need. Your expertise will help individuals access the appropriate level of care, educate family members and friends about mental health symptoms and treatment, and promote help-seeking behaviors within the University of Texas at Austin community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct crisis intervention and mental health assessments in various locations
  • Assist individuals in accessing the appropriate level of care
  • Educate family members and friends about mental health symptoms and treatment
  • Provide outreach and education to promote help-seeking behaviors
  • Review client records to determine progress and effectiveness of services
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Develop and review policies and procedures
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams and maintain liaison relationships


Program Assessment and Evaluation

You will identify and define system issues, develop and implement effective solutions, collect and analyze data for clinical operations and decision-making, and assess and evaluate program effectiveness. Your expertise will help us improve our services and ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree in counseling or a related field
  • Experience in crisis intervention and mental health services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
