Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to fill the role of Charge Nurse at our Edinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the provision of quality care to our residents, promoting their physical, mental, and psychological well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe, assess, document, and report resident condition/changes during rounds
  • Assure implementation of care plans as directed by physicians and facility policies
  • Administer medications as prescribed and perform narcotic reconciliation with incoming and outgoing shifts
  • Conduct rounds with physicians and record visits in clinical records
  • Identify significant changes in resident condition and take necessary action per facility policies and procedures
  • Oversee and monitor aides to ensure quality care is provided
  • Initiate and complete Incident and Accident Reports per facility policy
  • Discharge residents per facility policy and communicate with resident's point of contact regarding status updates or changes in condition
Requirements
  • Active Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of Texas in good standing
  • Experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred
