This is a full-time role within a long-term contract framework with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Key Responsibilities
- Conducts in-depth legal research to support trial staff.
- Assists in drafting legal documents, including motions, briefs, and memoranda.
- Reviews documents for relevance and privilege.
- Supports attorneys throughout all stages of litigation.
- Expected to manage tasks independently with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a law degree from an ABA-accredited institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state court systems, as well as legal research methodologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and legal professionals.
- Proficient in legal research tools such as LEXIS/NEXIS, CLEAR, and Westlaw.
- Familiarity with e-discovery processes and resources is essential.
