Job Summary

The University of Virginia is seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Controls Technician to join its Facilities Management team. As a key member of the Energy and Utilities Department, you will be responsible for installing, calibrating, configuring, programming, modifying, diagnosing, and repairing electronic, computerized, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical equipment up to 480v.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial control and electrical equipment according to specifications.
  • Assist in inventory control measures.
  • Participate in safety LOTO program.
  • Participate in training activities.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • ISA-CCST Level 1 and ASOPE PIII or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • Two years of experience with related electronic equipment.
  • Familiarity with Delta V DCS, Automated Logic BAS, PLC's, Rosemount, HART communication, Rosemount Analytical CEMS, Stackvision or overall similar equipment is preferred.
