Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Wine Sales Associate to join our team at New Level Resources. As a Wine Sales Associate, you will be responsible for promoting the sales of wine and non-wine merchandise, providing exceptional customer service, and assisting in preparing monthly wine club packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the sales of wine and non-wine merchandise through effective communication and relationship-building with customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting visitors immediately, offering wine tastings, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Assist in preparing monthly wine club packages, including etching and bottle labeling as needed.
  • Unload wine cases and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Manage high-volume wine and merchandise transactions, including cash handling and point-of-sale operations.
  • Build relationships with guests to maximize the sale of wine, merchandise, winery tours, and experiences.
  • Create opportunities to sell other events, services, and experiences offered by the company.
  • Present the benefits of the Wine Club programs to guests and contribute to the growth of the Wine Club.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations, including effective communication, traffic flow management, and guest engagement.
  • Prepare Wine Club boxes and shipments as needed.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including inventory management and cash handling.
  • Work collaboratively with other associates to reach set daily and monthly sales targets.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience in a wine tasting room, marketing, public relations, hospitality, or related field preferred.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as experience with POS systems.
  • Self-starter with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strict attention to detail, responsiveness, sound judgment, and proactive organization and planning skills required.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and listening skills, with the ability to deal effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all customers.
Compensation
  • $18/hour plus tips.
  • Commission for all wine club membership sales (paid quarterly).
