We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with innovative minds to create a scalable, optimized, reusable, and secure data streaming platform for medical devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead system software design and architecture decisions to create a cutting-edge data streaming platform.
  • Define and implement industry-standard best practices to design, develop, code, test, and debug front-end and mobile software applications.
  • Build new technology that enables the company to grow efficiently and quickly with an intense focus on customer needs.
  • Work in all stages of technology development – from early R&D through commercialization.
  • Collaborate effectively within the Corporate Research Labs, across business groups and functions, and with external partners to create solutions that positively impact patient and clinician experiences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 8 years of combined experience in front-end or mobile software development OR High School Diploma/GED from AND 12 years of combined experience in front-end or mobile software development.
  • Deep expertise in Javascript and TypeScript.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of network protocols including HTTP and WebSockets.
  • The ability to diagnose performance problems and faults in a modern web application.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Expertise in React and its ecosystem, including state management libraries (e.g. MobX).
  • An understanding of the Document Object Model.
  • And understanding of what factors govern the performance of a network-connected UI.
  • Familiarity with mobile development (iOS or Android) and React Native.
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth or NFC (Web Bluetooth/NFC or native iOS/Android APIs).
  • Experience working with GraphQL and/or RPC-style APIs.
  • Hands-on experience working directly with users to develop and adapt a UI to their needs.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Curiosity about the healthcare business, and how we can innovate to serve our users, particularly clinicians and patients.
  • Experience in Healthcare industry or other regulated industry.

Work Location:

  • Hybrid Eligible: Maplewood, MN OR Pittsburgh, PA at least 3 days per week.

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international.

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
