As a leader in logistics solutions, Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee our inventory operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient management of incoming and outgoing goods, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage daily inventory costs while supporting the facility's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain comprehensive reports to track daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement inventory control systems that align with the operational needs of the facility.
  • Oversee the cycle count program and manage inventory processes including recouping, repacking, returning, and recycling.
  • Provide operational support to supervisors and staff regarding inventory-related issues.
  • Facilitate and manage the hold process for inventory.
  • Foster a positive work environment by mentoring team members and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Ensure effective communication during shift meetings to keep the team informed and engaged.

Additional Duties:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is essential.

Educational Background:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in inventory management or a related field.
  • Supervisory experience is a plus.
