Pile Driver Foreperson

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pile Driver Foreperson to join our team at The H&K Group, Inc. As a Pile Driver Foreperson, you will be responsible for training and directing the activities of the crew installing foundation piles, lagging, walers, braces, etc., for excavation support in heavy civil and highway construction projects throughout Northeast PA and the Lehigh Valley.

• Perform all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Read blueprints and job-related documents to properly plan work
• Record daily events in job diary
• Schedule materials, equipment, and work for the crew
• Develop crew SIP's and submit to site foreman
• Track daily quantities and submit to site foreman
• Conduct daily huddles with crew to establish daily production goals and ensure all members of crew know and buy into the plan for the day
• Communicate goals and purposes effectively. Lead and demonstrate by example
• Influence and enforce company values. Recognize misalignments with company values and culture and rectify
• Proactively train and mentor crew members to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Communicate with customer representatives and inspectors in a courteously and professionally
• Perform all other duties of crew members as needed
• Other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR one year of related experience and/or training
• Working knowledge and ability to safety and efficiently understand and direct crane set up and lifting plans
• Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents
• Ability to operate surveying instrument, shoot elevations and straight lines
• Experience with pile driving and drilling equipment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership ability
• Problem solving
• Basic computer skills including internet, email, and the use of digital cameras for work documentation
• Driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to travel as required for projects
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

• 2 years of relevant experience and/or training
• Experience operating heavy equipment used in highway construction
• Supervisory experience
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
