Retaining Wall Foreperson

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retaining Wall Foreperson to join our team at The H&K Group, Inc. As a key member of our Structures Division, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of commercial retaining walls and excavation support in heavy civil and highway construction projects throughout Northeast PA and the Lehigh Valley.

• Oversee the construction of commercial retaining walls and excavation support
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Read and interpret blueprints and job-related documents
• Schedule materials, equipment, and work for the crew
• Develop and implement crew SIP's and track daily quantities
• Conduct daily huddles with crew to establish daily production goals
• Communicate effectively with customer representatives and inspectors

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university or one year of related experience and/or training
• Working knowledge and ability to safely and efficiently understand and direct crane set up and lifting plans
• Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents
• Ability to operate surveying instrument, shoot elevations and straight lines
• Experience with pile driving and drilling equipment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated leadership ability

• 2 years of relevant experience and/or training
• Experience operating heavy equipment used in highway construction
• Supervisory experience
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
