Job Title: Director of Nutrition

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Nutrition to join our team at The Judge Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing high-quality food products for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate recipes that meet AAFCO and state compliance standards.
  • Ensure company standards and product requirements are met in each recipe.
  • Maintain knowledge of technical and scientific developments in the field.
  • Ensure required documentation and records are maintained to substantiate product label compliance standards.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Quality Assurance Teams to ensure ingredients meet nutritional requirements.
  • Assist Consumer Service Team in providing qualified responses to consumer feedback.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to provide nutritional knowledge and increase sales.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • PhD in Animal Nutrition (Companion Animal Nutrition preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of dog and cat nutrition and related sciences.
  • Experience in pet food recipe creation (dry, wet, treats, and canned).
  • Working knowledge of dry food manufacturing processes and operations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.
