Job Description

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician Mechanic to join our team in Wilkes Barre, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair minor mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computers when applicable
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as inspecting and replacing air filters, spark plugs, and belts
  • Assist in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, trailers, and other vehicles
  • Perform facility maintenance duties, such as cleaning and organizing the shop, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic tools, required
  • One (1) year or more experience in transportation maintenance, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
Benefits
  • Average Weekly Pay: $880
  • Hourly Pay: $22.00 per hour
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
