The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care under the direction of the RN professional. He/she assumes responsibility and accountability for patient care as a team member in order to achieve established outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Performs non-interpretable data collection in an ongoing systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive hygienic care.
- Assists with ambulation and meals as directed by the registered professional nurse.
- Positions patients, provides pre, post op and post mortem care as a safe patient environment.
- Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs.
- Graduate of an accredited program in Licensed Practical Nursing.
- Current valid New Jersey LPN license.
- Maintain current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
Regular contact with Medical Center personnel, patients and visitors.
Additional Information13 week contract, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Every other weekend, Mandatory Holidays required as scheduled.
