The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Associate II to join our Commercial practice. As a key member of our team, you will engage in tax planning and consulting for a diverse range of clients, from multinational corporations to early-stage start-ups. Your expertise will be invaluable in preparing and reviewing ASC 740 tax provisions, reviewing and preparing tax returns, and collaborating with our engagement team to identify and research complex client issues.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review ASC 740 tax provisions
  • Review and prepare tax returns
  • Collaborate with engagement team to identify and research complex client issues and recommend solutions
  • Draft technical tax memoranda
  • Provide regular updates to clients
  • Assist in project management of compliance and consulting engagements
  • Supervise, train, and mentor Associates and Interns
  • Receive formal corporate tax training, on-the-job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant tax experience
  • Bachelor's and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD)
  • Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree (Preferred)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Advanced credential or desire to obtain advanced credential allowing for IRS client representation (CPA, JD)
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Proficient use of technology

What We Offer

We offer competitive base compensation, a benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics. For individuals hired to work in Long Island, the expected salary range for this role is $78,000 to $152,000; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our firm's 401(k) plan upon hire. We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually, and provide twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year.

Compensation

In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.
