Job Description:

Job Title: Behavioral Health Specialist

Job Summary:

Chimes is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of formal behavior management plans, conducting functional behavioral assessments, and providing behavioral consultation for clients as supervised by the Clinical Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Behavior Management Plans: Develop and oversee the implementation of formal behavior management plans to address the behavioral needs of clients.
  • Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments: Conduct functional behavioral assessments to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors and develop effective interventions.
  • Provide Behavioral Consultation: Provide behavioral consultation to clients, parents, and caregivers to support the implementation of behavior management plans and promote positive behavioral outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Coordinator: Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator to ensure that behavior management plans are aligned with client goals and objectives.
  • Document Client Progress: Document client progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in Team Meetings: Participate in team meetings to discuss client progress, share best practices, and receive feedback.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council of Higher Education Accreditation.
  • Experience: One year of full-time experience in providing mental health services to children, youth, or young adults.
  • Licensure/Certification: Licensed or certification preferred, but not required.
  • Clearances: Pennsylvania Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal criminal history; Verification that employee is not on any Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list.
