Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Legal Manager to join our Labor and Employment Law team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive legal, administrative, and operational support to ensure adherence to labor and employment regulations throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and execution capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Labor and Employment Legal Strategy under the guidance of senior legal counsel.
  • Maintain and organize case files and records for litigation and government inquiries.
  • Oversee document production in response to legal requests, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to track and summarize new legislation affecting the organization, and create training materials to inform staff.
  • Develop resources such as playbooks, FAQs, and guidelines to enhance the delivery of legal advice.
  • Serve as a liaison with external legal counsel and manage various legal matters across the company.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to recommend improvements and drive operational efficiency.
  • Provide legal support for labor and employment aspects of corporate transactions and organizational changes.
  • Work alongside the litigation team to prepare for legal proceedings.
  • Conduct and oversee sensitive internal investigations, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up.
  • Manage relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Offer legal guidance to managers and HR partners on employee relations issues.
  • Support the Ethics and Compliance team as necessary.
  • Uphold the company's values in all professional interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership abilities, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative and assertive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal oversight.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced degree in law, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor and employment law, including workplace investigations and employee rights.
  • Demonstrated history of professional growth and expertise in the field.
