We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and nurturing Lead Early Childhood Educator who is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of young children, specifically those aged two to three years. This is a full-time role that offers competitive compensation and benefits.
At One City Early Learning Centers, we implement the AnjiPlay curriculum across all age groups, ensuring that every child acquires essential skills tailored to their developmental stage. Our educators create a warm, supportive, and secure environment that promotes self-esteem, independence, and respect for individuality.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Interactions with Children
- Be present and responsive to children, encouraging them to express their experiences, ideas, and emotions.
- Support the social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and linguistic development of children, helping them feel secure, happy, and engaged in both play and structured learning.
- Maintain a creative and organized classroom environment.
- Model the care and maintenance of classroom materials and spaces.
- Stay informed about child development and educational theories, sharing insights to enhance our educational program and the AnjiPlay curriculum.
- Participate in ongoing curriculum evaluations, providing feedback on implementation and effectiveness.
- Familiarize yourself with additional resources and services that can benefit students beyond regular classroom activities.
- Design and execute instructional programs that align with One City's philosophy and objectives.
- Create purposeful lesson plans that utilize effective teaching strategies and maximize engagement.
- Tailor programs to meet the individual needs of each child.
- Foster an active learning environment by employing diverse teaching methods that inspire enthusiasm for learning.
- Monitor each child's progress and provide necessary reports.
- Collaborate with external support staff and supervise volunteers.
- Identify learning challenges and implement appropriate interventions.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Regularly assess student achievements using various evaluation methods.
- Adjust instructional programs as needed in collaboration with the Preschool Director.
- Establish reasonable classroom behavior guidelines in accordance with organizational and state standards.
- Ensure the safety of students, materials, and facilities.
- Share supervision responsibilities across all areas of the center.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with families.
- Collaborate with parents to enhance the educational experience for their children.
- Honor the uniqueness of each family and advocate for children and families within our community.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding student and family records in line with professional ethics and legal standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through various opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the Preschool Director.

- Ability to lift and push at least 50 pounds regularly.
- Membership in the Wisconsin Child Care Registry is required.
- Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
