Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead Behavior Specialist to join our team at Soliant. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to provide critical support to schools in the district, helping students with disabilities and challenging behaviors succeed.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be between $50-$60 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability plans, as well as a 401k plan with employer match.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify underlying causes of challenging behaviors exhibited by students.
  • Develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on FBA findings, utilizing evidence-based strategies and techniques.
  • Provide training and support to staff members on effective implementation of BIPs, ensuring consistent and appropriate interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of BIPs by systematically collecting and analyzing data on student behavior.
  • Collaborate closely with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to ensure student needs are met and interventions are consistent across environments.
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, offering valuable input on development of goals and objectives related to behavior management.
Qualifications
  • Hold a valid Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities and challenging behaviors in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with school personnel, parents, and community agencies.
  • Display a strong knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to special education and behavior management in schools.
