Key Responsibilities


The responsibilities of the Earthwork Foreman include, but are not limited to:

  • Supervising crews within their specific project area
  • Coordinating and scheduling activities of assigned craft workers while liaising with other trades
  • Interpreting specifications and plans to determine construction requirements
  • Locating, measuring, and marking site locations for structures or equipment
  • Documenting personnel, production, and operational data on specified forms
  • Assisting workers in construction or extraction tasks using hand tools or equipment
  • Inspecting work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety and compliance with specifications
  • Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a drug-free work environment
  • Training and supervising workers on company policies and safety practices
Qualifications


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Foreman preferred
  • 5-8 years of verifiable construction experience required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing crews and subcontractors
  • Effective communication abilities with crew members, project management, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding work plans
  • Physical capability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolding or ladders
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions


Compliance with all safety policies and procedures is essential, along with effective communication with co-workers and supervisors to ensure project completion.


The candidate should possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, along with good manual dexterity and the ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for extended periods.


Successful candidates must also pass a pre-employment drug screening.
