Key Responsibilities- Supervise and train a team of 10 to 12 employees to ensure the efficient preparation and serving of meals.
- Manage inventory valued at $25,000 to $30,000, ensuring accurate ordering and stock control.
- Implement and maintain high standards of sanitation and safety, adhering to all health department regulations and guidelines.
- Develop and implement promotions to increase meal participation and revenue.
- Collaborate with the supervisor, SFS, and staff to ensure compliance with all departmental policies and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with all district and department communication, attending manager meetings and sharing information with kitchen staff.
- Ensure all staff is trained and developed to meet the needs of the district.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or leadership team.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Outlook, Work, and Excel.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- High School or GED Certificate.
- 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Manager, or restaurant manager.
- Ability to exert moderate physical effort, lifting up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, and pulling.
- Ability to perform prolonged standing/walking.
- Possesses eye/hand coordination for register and computer operations.
- Ability to work in a noisy environment.
- Ability to withstand temperature variations.
