Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team at the California Department of Education. In this role, you will work under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and provide individualized applied behavioral and instructional support strategies and techniques.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist instructional personnel in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students in an assigned classroom or other learning environment.
  • Provide instruction and behavior support for individual or small groups of students.
  • Collect and maintain data on student behavior.
  • Perform a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for other instructional personnel.
  • Attend and participate in student progress meetings.

Requirements and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Registered Behavior Technician Certification, pass an Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test with a score of 70% or higher in the areas of Math, Reading, and Writing, or provide High School Proficiency verification. You must also possess a valid California driver's license and maintain insurability.

Salary and Benefits:
