Position DescriptionThe ideal candidate for this position will be a compassionate and dedicated individual who is passionate about working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders or other special needs. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Implement evidence-based behavior intervention plans to promote skill acquisition and behavioral growth.
- Work one-on-one with clients to build essential life, communication, and social skills.
- Collect and record data on client progress accurately to inform treatment decisions.
- Use positive reinforcement and other evidence-based techniques to manage challenging behaviors.
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is a plus.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire)
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental needs is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, professional, and punctual.
- Driver's License
