Job Description

Job Title: Network Administration Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Administration Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As a Network Administration Specialist, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of our WAN and LAN infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of our network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain WAN and LAN infrastructure, including network hardware and software.
  • Provide Tier one and two network support, including troubleshooting and resolving network issues.
  • Collaborate with external Government and commercial circuit providers to expedite the restoration of circuit outages.
  • Configure, update, monitor, manage, troubleshoot, and document routers and switches in the USSOCOM LAN/WAN networks.
  • Plan, design, engineer, configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair WAN infrastructures and POR's, including necessary additions and changes to associated routers, switches, external USSOCOM and commercial provider circuits and encryption devices.
  • Provision, operate, manage, and monitor LAN/WAN Virtual Private Network (VPN) services to securely connect remote elements and mission partners over the SIE and shared public IP networks, while ensuring compliance with applicable DoD, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), DISA, United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM), and USSOCOM policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.
  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluate the effect of architectural changes on them.

Requirements:

  • A DoD security clearance at the Top Secret or higher level of clearance is required.
  • BS and 5 years of experience, MS and 3 years of experience, or High School Diploma and 9 years of experience.
  • A minimum of three years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in implementing, administering, performing testing, and analyzing network Candidates must have experience with current technologies and, where required for the task, emerging technologies.
  • DoDD 01-M IAT II AND CCNA OR CC DevNet Associate OR Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA) certifications required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Government hardware, software, and network components.
