Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This position requires a strong understanding of networking hardware and software, as well as experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services.
  • Interface with O&M personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects as directed.
  • Comprehensively review existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required.
  • Establish systems engineering with a focus on the end-to-end functionality of complex systems.
  • Establish service integration, database structure management, active directory services/DNS, Thin/zero client and provide data storage with expertise in SANs technologies, NAS technologies, iSCSI, and DAS.
  • Establish portal/web services with expertise in the design of medium to large enterprise farms, geographical replication, interfacing with external data sources and integration of third-party add-ons.
  • Monitor PKI/certificate authority.
  • Provide CRM.
  • Perform disaster recovery and backup/restore.
  • Support efforts for cybersecurity technology, risks identification and risk mitigation strategies related to cybersecurity, and A&A support documentation in accordance with applicable DoD and IC directives.
  • Maintain LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems, advanced engineering, and administration of multiprotocol routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems.
  • Establish SATCOM with an emphasis on IP satellite.
  • Provide support with Wireless networking, Application delivery networking, Cloud computing, Mobile computing, End Point management, and desktop computing.
  • Provide Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) or other NSA Capabilities.
  • Engineer enterprise data, voice, and video networks.
  • Establish and operate network test facilities.
  • Maintain a secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networks.
  • Work with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management.
  • Provide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges, and routers.
Requirements
  • 9 years with a HS degree; 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA
  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a similar field is preferred.
  • DoDD 01-M IAT II *AND CCNP Collaboration OR CCNP Data Center OR CCNP Enterprise OR CCNP Security OR CCNP Service Provider OR CCDP OR CCIoT OR Aruba Certified Mobility Professional OR Juniper Networks Certified Specialist certifications are required.
  • DoD TS clearance or above is required.
