Industrial Athletic Trainer

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive worksite injury management and health improvement program for employees. This position requires a strong focus on injury prevention and evaluation, ergonomic risk assessments, and corrective action planning.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Site-Specific Wellness Initiatives: Design and implement site-specific wellness initiatives and programs to promote employee health and well-being.
- Ergonomic Risk Assessments and Corrective Action Planning: Conduct comprehensive ergonomic risk analyses and develop corrective action plans to mitigate workplace hazards.
- First-Aid Treatment and Management: Provide first-aid treatment and management for musculoskeletal complaints, including the use of ice, heat, wellness stretches, massage, tape techniques, and non-rigid bracing.
- Orthopedic Injury Assessments: Conduct orthopedic injury assessments and develop treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary.
- Data Analysis and Administrative Tasks: Perform data analysis and execute administrative tasks, including collection of data, completion of forms, documenting patient files, and generating reports for return on investment and budgets.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate regularly with safety personnel regarding rehab and injury prevention activities and serve as a patient advocate for non-occupational injuries.
- Education and Certification: Bachelor's degree in a related field and Board of Certification (BOC) certification.
- State Licensure/Certification: State licensure/certification required.
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification: Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
- Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel to various client locations.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and employees.
- Minimum of Two Years of Experience: Minimum of two years of athletic training experience.
- OSHA Knowledge: Knowledge of OSHA Recordability and workers compensation.
- Microsoft Office Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ergonomic/Occupational Health Experience: Previous ergonomic/occupational health experience.
- Continuing Education Reimbursement: Continuing education reimbursement available.
