The Sales Associate will be essential in delivering exceptional support to customers, recognizing their pets' requirements, and directing them towards the appropriate products. This role necessitates weekend availability and offers both full-time and part-time employment options.

Compensation:

$17 - $20 hourly

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Expertise: Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our diverse range of pet nutrition items, supplies, and grooming services to effectively guide customers in their purchasing decisions.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver exemplary customer service by welcoming, assisting, and engaging with customers in a friendly and approachable manner. Address inquiries, provide recommendations, and offer solutions tailored to their pets' needs.
  • Nutritional Knowledge: Utilize at least 1 year of experience in pet nutrition to provide expert guidance on dietary requirements, ingredients, and portion control for dogs and cats.
  • Product Suggestions: Aid customers in identifying their pets' specific needs and recommend suitable products to meet those needs, fostering loyalty and trust.
  • Effective Communication: Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations. Share product insights, inventory updates, and customer feedback with the team.
  • Cash Handling: Leverage your 1 year of cashier experience to efficiently process transactions, manage payments, and maintain accurate sales records.
  • Store Upkeep: Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the store, including restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring a visually appealing environment.
  • Grooming Assistance: Provide information about grooming services and help customers schedule appointments for their pets.
  • Weekend Availability: Be prepared to work on weekends to meet customer needs and support a well-rounded team schedule.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in pet nutrition, demonstrating a solid understanding of the dietary needs of dogs and cats.
  • 1 year of cashier experience, showcasing proficiency in handling transactions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with a diverse customer base.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and customer interactions.
  • A passion for pets and their well-being, along with a sincere interest in assisting pet owners in making informed decisions.
  • Availability to work weekends, with flexible options for both full-time and part-time schedules.
