Visa is on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic attorney to become a vital part of its expanding Global Risk & Regulatory Affairs team. This role will report directly to a Senior Managing Counsel within the Global Risk sector.
The position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities aimed at supporting the Global Risk organization, focusing on areas such as brand protection, data privacy, operational resilience, fraud prevention, and comprehensive risk management.
Ideal candidates will possess the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and demanding environment, demonstrate sound judgment, and exhibit strong analytical, client advisory, and negotiation capabilities. A self-starter attitude, coupled with an optimistic, inquisitive, and cooperative team spirit, is essential.
- Collaborate with Risk and other control functions to safeguard Visa and foster trust within the broader payments ecosystem.
- Assist in the development, evaluation, and execution of essential risk policies and protocols.
- Ensure compliance among Visa network participants with Visa Rules and other relevant policies.
- Support the Regulatory & Risk Governance team during regulatory interactions.
- Contribute to the Enterprise Risk Management team, including assistance with quarterly management and board meetings.
- Provide legal support for supervisory engagements and coordinated responses to crisis situations.
- Monitor and report on significant regulatory trends to key stakeholders within the company.
- Review and approve legal aspects of presentations and other daily outputs generated by business teams.
- Effectively manage competing priorities and adhere to tight deadlines.
- Work in tandem with Visa's regional and local legal and risk teams globally, aiding in the resolution of regional and local challenges to ensure consistent approaches across Visa worldwide.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office settings. Hybrid employees are expected to be present in the office for 2-3 designated days each week, as determined by leadership, with a general expectation of being in the office at least 50% of the time based on business requirements.
