Job Summary

Brex is seeking a highly skilled Senior Employment Counsel to join our Legal team. As a key partner to our People team, you will provide expert legal advice on employment and benefits-related matters for our global workforce.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing business-minded legal guidance and support to our People team on a wide range of employment issues
  • Partnering with our People team to develop and implement best policies and practices governing our employees and contractors
  • Managing employment-related complaints, disputes, litigation, investigations, and responses to regulatory inquiries and charges
  • Identifying employment and contractor-related risks and proactively developing and implementing solutions for managing and mitigating them
  • Managing the immigration function for the company, providing legal support and guidance on immigration-related issues impacting our employees and contractors

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of working experience gained through a combination of working at a leading law firm and/or corporate legal department counseling on employment legal issues and managing employment-related litigation
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience advising in relation to immigration law issues
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously with a high degree of ownership and autonomy
  • Creative, problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate a dynamic, fast-paced environment
