Job Overview

Eagle River Waste Services of CO LLC is seeking a qualified CDL Driver experienced in handling various types of waste collection vehicles, including Front Loaders, Residential Rear Loaders, Curotto Cans, and Roll Off Trucks. The selected candidate will be responsible for servicing multiple routes throughout the week, ensuring the efficient collection of solid waste and the safe transportation of materials to designated disposal or recycling facilities.

Key Responsibilities

To excel in this role, the candidate must be able to:

  • Operate vehicles in compliance with company safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and DOT standards, along with all applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle, documenting findings using the standard Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR).
  • Promptly report any unsafe conditions or service-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatcher.
  • Participate actively in all required training sessions, briefings, and meetings as directed by the Route Manager.
  • Collaborate with the Route Manager to enhance route efficiency and identify best practices.
  • Notify the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage that occur during operations.
  • Inform the Route Manager or Dispatcher of any service interruptions, including blocked streets or heavy receptacles.
  • Communicate customer requests effectively to the Dispatcher or Route Manager.
  • Ensure all receptacles are completely emptied and leave the service area clean and free of debris.
  • Follow assigned routes diligently and complete end-of-day documentation and checkout procedures.
  • Assist colleagues and perform additional duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatcher.
Qualifications
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience operating a CDL vehicle, specifically in waste collection.
  • Age: Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with an air brake endorsement.
  • Driving Record: An acceptable driving record is required.
  • Pre-employment Requirements: Successful completion of a DOT drug screening, physical examination, and background check, including previous employment verification and motor vehicle record review.
