Facility Overview
The selected candidate will join a leading healthcare institution that prioritizes comprehensive medical services for all individuals, ensuring high-quality care in a respectful environment. Our facility is designed to accommodate a significant volume of outpatient and inpatient services, reflecting our dedication to community health.
Key Responsibilities
The Chief of Anatomic Pathology will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the operations of the Anatomic Pathology Department
- Developing and enforcing standard operating procedures
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Evaluating and managing the proficiency of Anatomic Pathology personnel
- Supervising Pathologist Assistants and Cytotechnologists while providing direct education to medical trainees
- Acting as the Assistant Director of Cytology
- Maintaining a clinical workload that includes specimen examination and autopsy performance, along with direct communication of findings to medical staff
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
- A valid, unrestricted medical license in New York
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience, including supervisory roles
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, with experience in educating medical professionals
