Job Title: Host/Hostess
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and personable Host/Hostess to join our team at Summit Hospitality Incorporated. As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth operations during game day events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Guest Reception and Seating:
\u2022 Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and accommodate reservations.
\u2022 Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus, and introducing them to their server.
* Reservations and Waitlist Management:
\u2022 Handle reservations via phone, online booking systems, and in-person.
\u2022 Manage the waitlist, keeping guests informed about their wait times.
\u2022 Communicate with the kitchen and serving staff to manage table availability.
* Game Day Event Coordination:
\u2022 Ensure the venue is set up and ready for game day events, including TV/audio setups and special seating arrangements.
\u2022 Assist in organizing and promoting game day specials, events, or promotions.
\u2022 Coordinate with bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during high-traffic events.
\u2022 Engage with guests to enhance their experience, answering questions and facilitating requests.
* Customer Service:
\u2022 Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism.
\u2022 Foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience.
* Communication and Teamwork:
\u2022 Communicate effectively with all team members, including servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
\u2022 Collaborate with the management team to execute special events and promotions.
\u2022 Support staff in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining and bar areas.
* Administrative Duties:
\u2022 Maintain an organized host station with necessary supplies.
\u2022 Handle guest payments for reservations or special events when necessary.
\u2022 Record and report any maintenance issues, guest feedback, or operational challenges to management.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
* Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
* Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
