Job Title: Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Erae AMS USA. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of assembly lines and test equipment, troubleshooting issues, and implementing cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement error-proofing systems to maintain part quality requirements.
  • Design and implement safety controls per machine safety standards.
  • Plan preventive maintenance and support maintenance team TPM initiatives.
  • Update electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings in AutoCAD as needed.
  • Provide instruction in operation, set-up, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in EE, ECE, or Computer Science preferred.
  • Proficient in Software Development - PLC programming, IO Configuration, SCADA/HMI programming, and computer communication systems and network protocols (Ethernet).
  • Prefer 3+ years' experience in PLC/HMI programming, Mitsubishi PLC program (GX-Works or GX-Developer), Proface HMI program (GP Pro-EX), vision system support, robot automation, and integration & debugging of automation systems.
Physical Requirements and Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and reaching.
  • Repetitive movement of hands and fingers - typing and/or writing.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
