Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical and Physical Engineer at Capgemini, you will play a key role in the design and development of E-Motor components. You will guide the engineering development of electric motor components from sourcing to launch, ensuring that they meet the required design specifications and are manufactured efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with multi-functional teams to design and develop functional solutions that achieve design requirements.
- Coordinate change management and ensure consistency in requirements, standards, and practices across programs.
- Own and update Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Verification Plan and Report (DVPR) to ensure functional objectives, guidelines, and corporate requirements are met.
- Develop timelines and drive programs to meet deliverables, presenting action plans with status/risks to keep programs on track.
- Manage Tier I suppliers and software releases and/or hardware designs to meet program timing and work.
- Follow, track, and root cause build issues found during pre-production builds, prior to launch of the program and warranty analysis of all the components post-launch.
- Clearly communicate component status and issues in Google Suite and MS-Office applications.
- Work with Prototype Build Engineering to procure long lead components and coordinate sample requests for component suppliers.
- Work with designers to develop packaging and resolve issues.
- Provide build and launch support as needed.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a closely related engineering degree from an ABET accredited university.
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in the automotive field, preferably product development/powertrain.
- Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills, and demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Advanced degree in engineering from an ABET accredited University.
- Experience with Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).
- Experience with NX/Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of drawing GD&T and dimensional tolerance stack-ups.
- Experience with Statement of Requirements, DFMEA, and Design Reviews.
- Working knowledge of problem resolution and tracking systems and engineering change management processes.
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Certification.
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
