Caregiver for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Community Access Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a DSP, you will provide support and care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and self-confidence.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Support individuals in developing and achieving personal goals, fostering independence and self-confidence.
- Engage individuals in community activities, outings, and social events.
- Monitor and document progress, behaviors, and health status.
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is a plus, but not required—training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
