About the Role
Foundation Health Partners is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Services Associate to join our team. As an Environmental Services Associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of assigned cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures.
- Empties hampers and transports soiled linen, empties trash containers, and removes all trash.
- Inventories, restocks, and replenishes supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, etc.
- Maintains cleanliness of departmental equipment and notifies appropriate personnel as repairs become necessary.
- May perform special projects such as windows washing, wall washing, removing heavily soiled items or furnishings.
- Responds to questions and requests from patients, staff, and visitors, meeting or exceeding goals for customer service satisfaction.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision.
- Ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally.
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous related experience and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques.
- Additional related education and/or experience.

A Joint Commission-accredited facility with 152 licensed beds, Foundation Health Partners is the primary referral center for residents of Alaska's interior with a strong patient-to-nurse ratio and Shared Leadership Infrastructure.
