Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Fairbanks Resource Agency Inc. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping merchandise in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect merchandise for damage or defects
  • Store merchandise in allocated space, matching UPC numbers to shelf labels
  • Verify correct number of facing and rotate stock
  • Block all items as indicated in the Performance Work Statement
  • Identify and remove damaged items, tape labels to repair if possible
  • Break down boxes and dispose of properly in accordance with the Performance Work Statement
  • Attend training seminars, in-service sessions, and staff meetings
  • Maintain training compliance in accordance with FRA policies and procedures, state and federal regulations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (preferred)
  • One-Year experience in grocery stocking (preferred)

Working Conditions:

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Effort:

  • Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.
  • Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Pushing: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, press against something with steady force in order to thrust forwards, downward or outward.
  • Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.
  • Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.

Environmental Conditions:

Worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes (i.e. warehouses, covered loading docks, garages, etc.)

Worker is subject to atmospheric conditions: One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: Fumes, orders, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
