Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine team at Children's Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our pulmonary medicine services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, guidelines, and best practices in pediatric pulmonology.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas (or current valid Compact RN license).
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by a national certifying body recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing in the appropriate population focus area.
  • Current license issued by the Texas Physician Assistant Board within 180 days.
  • Current certificate issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Current NRP certification if practicing in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
  • Current PALS certification if practicing in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
