Job Overview

Position: Order Fulfillment Specialist

Summary:

The Order Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for receiving and processing incoming and outgoing orders for materials and merchandise to meet customer demands.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • • Confirm customer and order details for accuracy, cross-referencing with previously gathered information as necessary.
  • • Process and respond to customer orders as required.
  • • Assess orders for completeness in accordance with reporting protocols and escalate incomplete orders for further action.
  • • Suggest products or services that align with customer requirements.
  • • Review outgoing work to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • • Utilize the inventory management system to check the availability of requested items.
  • • Alert relevant departments when stock levels are low or when orders may exhaust available inventory.
  • • Maintain records of received orders or update order logs as necessary.
  • • Adhere to all organizational safety policies and practices.
  • • Ensure a safe and tidy work environment.
  • • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • • Comply with company policies and operational requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • • Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and communicating written and verbal instructions.
  • • Capable of operating various hand and power tools as needed.
  • • Skilled in using different types of material handling equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts when necessary.

Education and Experience:

  • • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • • Preferred: 6 months of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • • This role involves frequent standing, walking, and sitting, both indoors and outdoors.
  • • Must possess adequate physical condition to meet job requirements, including mental acuity, physical and manual dexterity, grip strength, depth perception, and other physical attributes necessary for safe job performance in compliance with all Company, Local, State, and Federal regulations.
  • • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • • Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • • Must wear designated personal protective equipment when handling materials or operating machinery.

Additional Requirements:

  • • Must successfully pass pre-employment and required drug screenings as requested.
  • • Must successfully complete a Physical Capacity Assessment as required.
