We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. As an EFDA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our doctors in various clinical procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist doctors with various clinical procedures, including charting, placement of fillings, and patient education.
- Perform expanded duties as per state regulations and compliance.
- Assist in clinical procedures such as placing amalgam or composite fillings, adapting temporary crowns, and applying topical fluoride treatments.
- Record and review patient health history, make chart entries under the doctor's direction, and ensure completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
- Enter and update patient treatment plans at the direction of the treating doctor.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- EFDA Certification or on-the-job training required per state requirements.
- Radiography licensure for respective state requirements.
- 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
- CPR Certification is required.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of dental charting software and digital x-rays with the ability to learn new programs as necessary.
