About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient preparation and service of food to our patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble a variety of food items, including sandwiches, grill items, and hot meals, for to-go orders and inpatient service.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
  • Restock workstations and equipment as needed, ensuring that all necessary supplies are available.
  • Perform light food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables and marinating meats.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read English to follow recipes, read menus/meal tickets, and job flows.
  • Ability to speak proficient English.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to push catering carts, carry/move items up to 25 lbs., bend, lift, and reach.
  • Ability to stand in a stationary position and/or walk quickly for long periods of time.
