Rehabilitation Programs Coordinator

Correctional professionals dedicated to creating a safe and humane environment while ensuring public safety through effective preparation of individuals for successful reintegration into society.
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Educational Background:
No substitution of education for specialized experience is permitted for this position.
Professional Experience:
Applicants must possess a minimum of one year of specialized experience that is equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade level within the organizational hierarchy.
Specialized experience refers to direct involvement in correctional programs, providing comprehensive knowledge of correctional methods, or experience in engaging with individuals that demonstrates the ability to work effectively with inmates and staff in a correctional setting.
Candidates must also have demonstrated success in performing supervisory or administrative responsibilities.This includes (1) understanding the challenges related to custody, treatment, training, and release of inmates in correctional facilities, (2) possessing thorough knowledge of institutional policies, programs, regulations, and procedures, and (3) training subordinates, coordinating activities, evaluating operational performance, and maintaining high standards of work objectives.
This experience must have been acquired in an administrative capacity or in roles that involved the successful management or assistance in the management of an entire correctional program or a significant aspect of such a program.
Examples of qualifying experience include:
Experience in conducting investigations related to grievances submitted as administrative remedy appeals concerning unit or case management policies and procedures.
Experience in collecting and analyzing statistical data to assess the impact on policies or procedures.
Experience in reviewing draft proposals or program statements and providing guidance, feedback, or recommendations for approval.
Experience in gathering, compiling, and disseminating information regarding established policies and procedures to other departments and providing training to staff on unit or case management operations.
If applicable, credit will be given for both paid and unpaid experience.To receive appropriate credit, candidates must indicate the actual time (such as hours worked per week) spent on relevant activities.
